Biography

Dr. Tim Yeomans became Superintendent of the Puyallup School District in July 2012.  Prior to being selected, Dr. Yeomans was the superintendent of the Meridian School District from 2007 through 2012.

Yeomans' past experience includes two years as an assistant superintendent, five years as a principal, and two years as an assistant principal in the Mount Baker School District.  Yeomans also worked three years as a teacher, a coach, a principal intern, and an athletic director at Bellingham High School; four years as a teacher, coach, and student leadership and activities coordinator at Shorecrest High School; and one year as a teacher and coach at Northshore Junior High School in Bothell.  He started his education career in 1986 as a student teacher and coach at Puyallup High School.

Dr. Yeomans currently instructs graduate students who are aspiring to become school and district leaders from Pacific Lutheran University and Washington State University.

Yeomans holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Washington State University and a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Washington.
