Secondary

Planning for Secondary Students
Based on the new guidance for schools recently issued by the Department of Health, we continue to plan for a safe return of secondary students in a hybrid schedule. We are hopeful for an early second semester return date based on COVID-19 case counts in the community.

Based on the number of students returning, changes to hybrid schedules may occur.  Students who return to school in a hybrid in-person model will be on campus anywhere from 1-4 days per week, all dependent on the number of students we need to accommodate.

In our Jan. 15 message, we asked families to select their child’s instructional model by Jan. 22.  Families have a choice between in-person learning (onsite at least one day per week) or remote (not onsite, full-time continuous distance learning).

SCHEDULE VARIATIONS

Possible schedule variations may occur based on the number of students returning.  Class size and social distancing requirements will impact our final hybrid schedule as we return students. The number of families selecting hybrid affects the number of schedules available.

Note: Unlike hybrid, the schedule for students choosing to stay in remote learning is not dependent on the number of families who choose this option. The bell schedule for remote learners will not change.
