Girls Soccer

Puyallup won two games last week, the first a 1-0 victory over Skyview to earn a spot in the WIAA State Bracket. The second win was a 2-0 victory over Olympia to finish as the #2 seed to state. The SPSL has FIVE of the sixteen teams in the state bracket.

Volleyball

The SPSL is a very competitive league, which was proven this past Saturday in the SPSL Tournament as the top-four seeds played some very tough matches. Emerald Ridge (entered #4 seed) defeated Rogers (#1 seed) in the semi-finals prior to losing in five sets to champion Graham-Kapowsin (entered as #3). Puyallup (entered as #2 seed) defeated Rogers in the third place game.

Final SPSL Tournament placings: 1st = GK, 2nd = Emerald Ridge, 3rd = Puyallup, 4th = Rogers

The teams now move on to the West Central District Tournament held at Curtis HS/JH this weekend where anything could happen. All three PSD schools will be challenging for a berth at state.
